One day to day one
For the past few weeks, I have been reflecting on this question: what stops me from turning one day into day one?
I've come to the realization that I have been framing what day one means incorrectly.
You see, I've typically thought of day one as an abrupt or momentous change. Thing is, although that can be true, it's not always the case; day one often happens way before the major shift, if a major shift happens at all.
Take for example the goal of mine to create adventure travel content full time. Day one isn't when I quit my current job. Day one happened long ago, back when I created a fresh Instagram account and made my first post. In other words, day one happens when you work through the fears and you decide to take action, to move forward with the first step towards your goal, no matter how small that step may be.
I've also realized that I'm really good at day one in that sense. Where I need to improve, however, is executing on my formula for success (consistent action over long periods of time = success). I need to get better at heading towards day one hundred, day one thousand. That's what I'm focused on now.
